Crossed the creek out of the barnyard turning toward Digges Valley Road. Viewed Charlie crossing at a run from left to right in the next field heading toward the creek. Put hounds on the line and totally blank, not even a little interest, no sterns wagging not even a squeak from young entry.

Crossed the creek from Hidden Valley into Yellowwood drawing up the fence line separating Yellowwood from Digges Valley, again nothing. Circled back to the coop out of Yellowwood into Digges Valley to cast from the bean field side. Still nothing. It seems as if Charlie just disappeared.

Reach the other side of the bean field, drawing east along the tree line toward the "Deer Lady woods." Put hounds into the spinney in the small bean field below the "Deer Lady woods." A little interest but nothing serious.

Moved out to the parallel tree line heading toward the creek, still nothing. We have now covered all angles except re-crossing the creek and trying the other side. Cross the creek heading toward the main house on Digges Valley.

Hounds pick up a scent line behind the old dairy barn but it does not hold. We pick up hounds and move to the Branch House, specifically the swampy area in front of the house along the road. Cast hounds in and draw the fence line toward the barns and bamboo stand. Hounds get in behind the bamboo and old farm buildings finding a good scent line.

Charlie comes out along the back side heading toward Canby Road running the length of the tree line until the power line and turns sharp right toward Digges Valley Road. Hounds falter at the bottom of the hill but pick the line up in the power line crossing Digges Valley Road heading toward the "Deer Lady."

The line is sharpening but hounds do not really own it. They get hung up on the topside of the "Deer Lady woods." Charlie ducks out the bottom of the woods and heads back toward Digges Valley Road. Hounds keep working it out. However, it seems as if there are two foxes.

We wait out the hounds when a couple drops out of the woods speaking but heads down the tree line toward the creek. We hark the pack onto the lead hounds and the line hardens considerably. The temperature has stabilized and the scent is getting a lot better.

Hounds now own the line and are pushing hard. They cross the creek into Hidden Valley running hard the length of the field toward the Cabin woods on Rt. 704. At the Cabin Woods the line faults hounds cast right down to the wet weather creek heading toward the Airplane woods. Hounds in the Cabin woods pick up the line and run the length of the Cabin woods across the Hidden Valley driveway into the pine trees and fault in the pines.

Cast hounds forward out of the pines, see Charlie sitting on top of the den and he ducks in. Mark him to ground. Missing two couple of hounds. Draw back down to the creek separating Hidden Valley and Yellowwood. Hounds pick up a line across the creek moving towards Travis Brown’s across the bean field. The line is old and spotty.

Send staff in over Anita’s coop, we drop down over the vertical into Yellowwood to draw the cover by the beaver dam. Hounds pick up the line fresh and hot by the beaver dam pushing it out of the old Leesburg Road into the woods below Patty’s Hill. Hounds push the fox up to the top of the hill crossing into the woods along Rt. 704.

Hounds swing down to the bottom of the hill by the Yellowwood driveway. The line breaks up along the thicket along the driveway. Then lead hounds pick up again in the woods along Patty’s Hill. Hounds push the line to the pond at Mrs. Traubal’s. Can not account for the fox directly but there is a large den by the pond.

Pick up hounds and call it a day.
